If we do this, there are several luxuries we must give up. It is not that far fetched of an idea that we may have to move to Venus or another planet in the near future. It is expected to more than double in the next 40 years. The earths population is currently 6.9 billion. Pretty soon there will be so many people we will not be able to function as a society. tells us that One of the reasons 3rd world countries are so unhealthy is that there is not enough food to go around. The day is not that far away in which we must come up with a solution on how to control the Earths population. In the short story All Summer in a Day by Ray Bradbury, we are reminded by the theme to appreciate the simple things on life. ![]() The story tries to solve this by having people move to Venus, but in the process they must sacrifice the sun. Overpopulation is becoming a serious problem for the planet Earth and we must find a way to fix it.
